Seoul-native, 21-year-old K grew up being exposed to so-called ‘black music’ such as gospel and R&B.  One day a music producer spotted him playing the piano at his church, and K grasped the chance of becoming professional.  His mellow, glamorous voice soon earned the moniker of “a voice from heaven”. 

On March 2, 2005, K released his first single “over…” (the theme song of TBS’ drama “H2: Kimito Ita Hibi”) and debuted at #6 on the Oricon chart, which broke the debut position record of Korean artists at that moment, selling over 200,000 copies.  His second single, which has been released on May 11 2005, was aired on a TV commercial of Kose Cosmeport’s new line “Salon Style”.  This 2nd single also ranked within No.10 on the Oricon chart. 

Since last summer, he started to appear on several events including outdoors. And his 4th single “Only Human” was used as a theme song for TV drama “1 liter no Namida” and it became a big hit. In Jan 2006, long-awaited first album was released. It includes not only ballad songs, but also up-tempo R&B songs…you will find new side of K in this album. Keep your eyes on this young and promising vocalist!
